Each interaction with the Mind Gallery team was enjoyable. Trish, Pip & Amanda foster such refreshing energy, you want them around all the time. Those of us who knew about the Mind Gallery session were incredibly excited. Those who found out on the day were suitably intrigued. You know there’s fun on queue when paints are involved. The experience enhanced our ability to express ourselves as individuals as well as team members. Everyone dived into the action – even the shy ones. I was blown away by the final painting. It was amazing to see how rank amateurs, with a little help, could produce art that I’d be happy to hang on my own wall. The Mind Gallery session has by far exceeded all others in positive staff feedback. And each office now has a lasting reminder of the day we dusted off the imagination and created something beautiful. Every team-oriented business should do this at least once.
In 2009, we welcomed about 140 new starters to our company in a 2-day event where we outlined to organisational climate and strategy. The process of on boarding new staff is very important to us as a company and helps convert their potential into reality. To make this a memorable moment for them, we need to connect with each individual on a deeper level, a level that reinforces the importance we place in them as well as how valuable they are to us. We selected Mind Gallery to partner with us to help create this environment .
Our experience with Mind Gallery commenced about 3 months prior to our event and consisted of a couple of scoping meetings to determine the initial fit. This was followed by a concept meeting to discuss the artistic approach that would meet our needs. Once we were all 'singing from the same sheet', the rest of the process ran smoothly. Our event was conducted in the Melbourne Exhibition Centre where the Mind Gallery setup for their activity. They brought in the all the painting stores for the activity as well as protective covers for the floor and the participants and the 3 sessions we had were professionally facilitated. The comments we received from the participants were all very complimentary and very positive about the activity. They help us bring this group of people together through the experience of painting and creativity and are absolutely fabulous at what they do.
As a business offering complex software solutions and consultancy services our team is largely focussed on detailed requirements and data. The left side of the brain tends to get the serious workout on a day to day basis. We engaged the Mind Gallery to help us challenge the team by getting the creative juices flowing in a fun, team building environment. The theme was “noise” and in particular, constructive noise. We spend so much of our day focussed on the detail presented to us, we often forget engage and communicate with those around us. Graffiti was chosen as the media and team that the Mind Gallery pulled together was fantastic. We achieved all of our goals and have a great artistic reminder taking pride of place in our office. Thoroughly enjoyable and thoroughly recommended. Thank you to Anne, Trish and the Mind Gallery team.
I was thrilled when I came across The Mind Gallery in my search for an appropriate activity to incorporate into my teams annual planning day. The Mind Gallery offered a perfect process and activity for my team to establish a strong unified commitment to a single purpose that could drive and inspire our achievements into the future. We experienced a wonderful day at the Mind Gallery premises in Docklands, it was a cold wet day, however what we experienced was a warm welcoming and fun environment. The Mind Gallery experience is wonderfully creative and engaging. We enjoyed every moment of exploration, immersion and creation and now have a vibrant work of art that reminds us of that day and inspires us in our journey to deliver against our purpose.
In July 2010 we had the pleasure of partnering with the Mind Gallery during our HR Connection Event that involved the BP Australian and New Zealand HR team. The aim of this session was to create energy and a personal connection between each individual of the team and the agreed 5 year People Strategy.
In a fun and engaging way, we succeeded in representing the key 8 components of our People Strategy and created a true masterpiece that now hangs in each of our offices across Australia and New Zealand.
The final image has since been used to brand our subsequent meetings and communications ensuring that each member of the HR team stays connected to our collective goal.
Sincere thanks to the Mind Gallery team for their contribution to our event, their energy and creativity.
In 2010 Elite Customer Solutions asked the Mind Gallery to assist in the development of a new Vision statement to energise, align and engage the 400 strong team. The key focus for this activity was to access the ideas and energy of every employee to ensure the new Vision statement captured the hearts and minds of every team member and provided a clear pathway to a successful future.
I am pleased to say the Vision workshops, and the ultimate painting activity that resulted in a beautiful piece of art to express the Vision were a resounding success. The gasps and applause were audible when the Vision and the artwork were finally revealed - it is wonderful to see the energy of the organisation lead forward as a result.
In a recent survey over 80% of respondents indicated this Vision was understood and applied to the work they undertook - across the organisation we have seen many teams adopt their own usage for the Vision and the art - this is true success.
Many thanks to the Mind Gallery team for their expertise, commitment and creativity - a job well done!
We engaged the Mind Gallery to assist us in bringing together a disparate group of highly skilled people from business and technology teams. While there was initial trepidation (creativity isn’t our strong suit!), our people responded really well to the cleverly engineered session. Once smocked-up, the creative juices flowed and our masterpiece is now proudly on display in the newly formed Management Information Competency Centre. I can highly recommend the Mind Gallery as something right out of the box to build team rapport, develop a vision, and have a great time along the way.
The Mind Gallery painting session was a great way to finish off our two day conference in a fun, relaxed environment and offered us a chance to show off our creative side while working together effectively as a team. We are very proud of our finished pieces and have displayed them in each of our interstate offices as a permanent reminder of our team's story.
We had the pleasure of working with the Mind Gallery in 2007 as part of our HR Team Offsite in 2007. As a team we wanted to explore through images our identity and the value we bring to the business. The image itself was not as important as the creation – of having everyone contribute to, and provide insights into the way in which we engage and partner with our business. We brain stormed ideas and generated words that best describes us and then set about deconstructing the traditional methods of representing these words to bring out the uniqueness and personality of the team. Our final image is one that captures our essence - warm, rich reds and vibrant colours representing the passion and strength of the group. The team thoroughly enjoyed the experience, it was loads of fun and our memento is proudly featured in one of our main HR training room.
Our aim in using the services of the Mind Gallery was to get the team focused on our collective purpose and values and to build skills in communication, collaboration along the way. The art connection worked brilliantly by triggering a creative capacity that people didn’t; know they had.
It instantly linked themes and ideas that have stayed with people long after the conference. The tangible reminder in the artwork on the office wall delivers on the promise. Congratulations and thanks Mind Gallery
